FNB still sends me spam SMS's, though I haven't been a customer of theirs for over two years. They sent an automated SMS after my last complaint two weeks ago - telling me to phone them if I had a problem!!! So they send automated spam to everyone, telling people to "Enter now and WIN! ", then they send an automated response when there is a complaint. I'm appalled. This is marketing to the very lowest common denominator - as well as encouraging poor financial practices. It should never happen in the first place - but getting an automated response asking me to call THEM if I have a problem!
Does this happen to anyone else?
I am dismayed. And once again glad that I switched to another bank two years ago. My current bank sends me no spam at all, doesn't ask me to enter stupid competitions. My current bank respects me. If you want the same, leave FNB.
