I received a call from a debt collecting agency (Norma Bisset) claiming that I owe an amount of R1500 for an account last paid in 2009. The agent then got irate when i stated that i have no recollection of such debt, i requested the account statement which i have not received. I called Direct Axis and requested a check on my ID number of and was told that the acc was handed over last month to collectors and given a contact number and person that is forever on voicemail - Hennet Vitter - I have questioned the time periods inquiring if this account would not be prescribed as I have had the same contact information for well over 9 years and have no recollection of this account and the outstanding debt, neither does it reflect on any credit profile
