During August i received a call from a person from Miway asking if he could interest me in a better insurance premium on My Nissan Bakkie, i said yes, he then said for the purposes of a quote i would need to give over my personal details, which I stupidly did. he then went on to tell me that he could offer me a much better insurance payment that what i am paying now. he then asked me if he could go ahead and sign me up (after i agreed to an inspection on my car) i said i did not want to go ahead until i sorted out my finances. he said no problem he will wait. i have recently found out that without my permission he went ahead and that my account was debited without my permission, i have lodged a complaint with miway who have now said i must wait 3 working days for a response. my question is where is the legal document that states i gave permission for this action, and how can miway insure something that they havent even seen/ confirmed exists?
