Yesterday I got a very embarrassing message from my 'emergency contact' that I register on all my documents that they received ALL my personal and CONFIDETIAL information via sms from African Bank.
I am under debt review which I have been keeping private for the past year. Now this careless African Bank has exposed all my information and bank statement to someone else. When I called in, they said they do not even have an emergency contact on their system. I have always been in reach so I cannot understand why they would not contact me directly (like they always have)!!
This is a HUGE breach of confidentiality!!! I feel like contacting a lawyer because this kind of service is unacceptable and extremely embarrassing!!! I definitely would not recommend such unprofessional service to anyone.
