I have insured my vehicles with outsurance for 10 years or more, NEVER submitting a claim! I enquired about insuring my new bond free home, just for building/structure insurance. Despite being a claim free member for 10 years, they quoted me R750/month!! I had to ask them to re-look that premium based on my claim free record. The consultant came back to me with R550/month!!
I immediately called auto and general, and they insured my house for R344/month!!! the same value and criteria, and half of OUTSURANCE's offer!!! I have never insured with 'auto and general' and they offered me a FAR better premium than OUTSURANCE, whom I have been loyal to for 10 years!!! I think that is shocking and a total 'rip off' attempt from OUTSURANCE!!!
I will consider looking at auto and general now for my vehicles too!!! They deserve the business by offering value, and not ripping off their clients!!!
