Previously I complained about our smart shopper card used on my husband's account. The card was registered to someone else, even though we were getting cash back etc. a couple of years ago. We've been complaining about this for over a year now and I finally got a response ONLY because I wrote to Hello Peter, regardless of the fact that I had called Discovery on many many occasions over a period of many months. Finally, they credited my husband's account with points, but when I ask what this means no-one can give me an answer. What can we do with these points? And with miles, which are useless as everything in the shop is 500% more expensive than when you buy it retail!!! I also requested that we get all the cash back that we hadn't over the18 months and we still have had no compensation. Is this not against the consumer act, promising something that you don't follow through with??? What are we supposed to do to get some money back or take advantage of both using the credit card and the smart shopper card? Or should we just close our account and go to Nedbank who give unit shares for miles - something that is tangible. I am so tired of fighting! Pls sort this out once and for all.
