I recently went into the Capitec branch in Verulam and applied for a loan. I was told that i do not qualify for a long term loan and that i only qualify for R2000.00 due to the company I work for (CCI call centres). People previously employed at my company borrowed money and did not repay their debts, is that a justified reason to decline my application? Why should that affect me??? Capitec came out to the company i work for and did promotions and confirmed that the staff that work from my company can apply for long term loans. I am extremely unhappy as a client of Capitec and should there be no resolution i plan on taking this up with the ombudsman and changing my bank.
