Capitec Bank
No loan because of the bank account I hold

I contacted Capitec Bank for a loan as I've always heard about good service, decent interest rates and really helpful people.
Well... I cant say I found the same!!!
After trying to apply a loan to cover the costs of bond registrations for a house we're buying, I was told they were unable to help me because I have a sole proprietor bank account with standard bank.
I was told that me having this accounts means that I am self employed.
Strangely I sent three months payslip for the company I work for and the statements where you can see my salary goes in. Is it too difficult to work out I'm employed by a company?? Don't tell me I'm SELF EMPLOYED!!!
The bank account is in my name AS a sole proprietor account. This is the ONLY account I have used for my personal use for the last 4 years!!
Shocked at the level of common sense and compassion you as a bank have!
I will encourage everybody to stay far far away from Capitec Bank in the future.
