An accident was caused by an elderly lady who is insured with Santam, she jumped a red robot, writing my car off. Santam are now accusing me of being in the wrong as I was going to turn right and had to wait for oncoming traffic to stop at the red robot. I then proceeded to turn and this elderly lady went right through the red robot and Santam do not even have all the necessary documents on hand and they have categorically stated that I was in the wrong. Their service is appalling as I was told that because I am not THEIR CLIENT (only the claimant) they don't need to to assist me in my queries (supervisor).
They are now, a month later, requesting the report from me, where before any repudiating takes place they should have all necessary documents on hand. They also tell me I do not have an eye witness, but the eye witness actually filled in the report and signed it as a witness and handed it to the police on site of the accident.
I have told them about the eye witness - gave them all her details and the are still telling me I do not have an eye witness who can verify exactly what happened!!!
