We have lodged a previous complaint abour our claim wrt hail damage on 08/11/12.
We immediately got re-assesed by Marius and much more items was added to the jobcard as he stated "that the damage was much more than previously assesed" - but these added items has still not been confirmed to the contractor. And the contracter advised me that they are finishing today (with half the stuff not done) as ABSA is not forthcoming with the required documentation for them to continue. Which leaves my house as a disaster zone.
Then the issue of the pine ceiling in the playroom. The damage was on 08/11, the claim approved 20/12, the contractors only available on 14/01/13; with continued rain on a damaged room through Nov Dec & Jan. In one storm almost 5 liters of water came through the ceiling above my freezer; now we are told that the ceiling is not going to be replaced as it must only be repaired because it is not bent. The pink insulator in the roof is wet; the wood is rotten; and the contractor is refusing to repair. I have had a wet room for 12 weeks! We are conserned about mold; but we seem not to matter to ABSA.
My husband had phoned pleaded and begged - this is the second complaint.
