My father (NM Mbeje) went there to close his account and to open another one as there were people debiting from his account without his consent, when he got there the consultant wouldn't help him close it just asked him where were the debtors going to debit if he closes his account. the only debit order allowed is the bond and bank charges. so he finally managed to close and open another one in FNB Rosebank. on monday (26th august) my parents went to Standard bank (Bond) since there'd been changes in account details only to find that the bond didn't go through in June while the money allocated for the bond was there. on the statement we found out that the same company that had been debiting (hence closure of the account) took all the money as soon as it went in. should the consultant had assisted at the my father went to close the account that thing wouldn't have happened. they couldn't take care of their own customer which have cost a lot of money for a person who's not working. or was it because he's illiterate, that's the reason why they didn't take him seriously?
