I called about trading in the car that was insured with them & i made them aware & called them to change the details of the old car. All was well & i went to pick up the new car on the 19.08.13, discovery sent confirmation to my dealer to release the car & then on the 20.08.13 i got an email from discovery informing me they cant insure the car becoz its above R4k, they need household contents to insure me with the car. i was shocked becoz i had called them personally to change the details & i was not given that information & they had also sent the confirmation to the dealer to release the car. why? Fine i take that & i call discovery to cancel the policy because i was told they cant help me with insurance for the car since i dont have any household contents to insure with them
on the 20.08.13 i called to cancel the insurance since they had confirmed they cant help me, i was told someone will call me in 48hrs to cancel the insurance & until today the 23.08.13 i am being thrown from pillar to post by every consultant that i speak to regarding this issue &its frustrating now because i dont know where i stand with insurance? am i insured? can i cancel since u cant help me?
