Standard Bank
Changing ATM deposit amount with no explanation

On the 4th August I deposited R 2800 at the Eastgate ATM's. It was in different denominations and checked before depositing

A couple of days later, Std Bank changed the amount to R 2700, saying I was R 100 short. This is actually the 3rd time this has happened to me now, and each time it is a difference of exactly R 100, no matter what notes I banked.

I dispute this. That money was double checked by myself and a witness. Ever since the second time I have been really careful about checking my deposits.

I have lodged 2 separate complaints with reference no's since then, asking STD Bank to go back and check the video footage of when my deposit was removed from the envelope and counted. They have taken the money off me, I don't agree with them on the shortfall and I want the proof. But no-one bothers to get back to me at all. I sit on the phone for hours and get pushed around from one dept to another

17 days later I am still out of pocket with not a word from anyone at the bank. I am tired of waiting! It's about time someone at Std Bank actually sorted this out now...
