DISSATISFACTION WITH HANDLING OF ACCOUNT

I USED TO HAVE A HOMELOAN ACCOUNT WITH NBS WHICH WAS TRANSFERRED TO FNB WHEN NBS BECAME DEFUNCT. THE ORIGINAL LOAN AMOUNT WITH NBS HAD BEEN R76320.000. THE ACCOUNT WAS TRANSFERRED TO FNB WITH A BALANCE OF R58 000 IN 2003. TO DATE I AM STILL SAID TO OWE R56 229. 00 ON THE ACCOUNT. I HAVE REFERRED THE MATTER TO THE OMBUDSMAN BEFORE BUT THEY ALSO WERE UNHELPFUL AND SAID THEY FOUND NOTHING AWKWARD WITH THE ACCOUNT. IS IT POSSIBLE THAT I CAN PAY FOR OVER 20 YERAS AND THE DEBT IS ONLY HAVE BEEN REDUECED BY R20.000?
