I missed a payment of my vehicle in June 2013 because of financial constraints. I did pay in July but wanted to arrange a extra monthly deduction over a period of time since my finances are a bit uneasy due to unforeseen circumstances. The person working at the vehicle and asset finance dept. was rude with no customer care/service whatsoever. He did not even want to listen to me and when I asked him whether we could arrange a monthly payment over a period he refused and came to seize my vehicle that same day. I only missed one payment and felt so humiliated and demoralized that I wanted to change banks. He told me that I am not prioritizing my vehicle payments and was criticizing my personal circumstances as if he knows me. I have been paying on time since 2010 and as a Manager myself working with people and patients everyday his attitude and customer service was rude and unacceptable.
In the future I do not want anything to do with this ABSA employee and will request to be helped by someone else, I also want to enquire about when your car can be seized, The last time my salary dates changed I also missed that month but nothing was seized. Thank you
