Automated services requesting security details

I am continually receiving 011... calls where the last 4 digits differs each time. On answering the call a digital voice informs me that this call is from Standard bank, an authorized financial institution. We have important information regarding your account. Please key in your ID number and end off with the #.
FLIP!! in an era so full of and phisings what on earth are they thinking. How can they allow this!! After more than R15 grand was form my account with them (the only conclusion I can came too is that it was an inside job) I just cannot trusted them.
Just think about it the shear stupidity of such an action!!
So. Please people, whenever you receive such a call, kill the call DO NOT RESPOND to that.
