I disputed two transactions, with their disputes department, to the same merchant which took place late March. These two amounts were refunded to my credit card after an investigation, in which the merchant did not respond. When I checked my credit card statements, one amount went out of my credit card on the 2nd of April, and back in on the same day; the second amount went out and back in on the 4th of April. However, on the 22nd of July these exact same amounts went out of my credit card again, to the same merchant! I phoned the ABSA credit card department, and no one is able to tell me why, where these transactions were processed, or why they were allowed to go through, as it has pushed my card way over its limit! I was given a phone number for the disputes department, but this number does not exist; I was told only e-mail correspondance is permitted, but I am not getting replies to these e-mails.
