Hi,
This accident happened (8 june 2012) and I only found out recently about Hello Peter. I am from Seatides (La Mercy). The insurance company instructed me to take my car to the assessor that 70kms from me. As it was the nearest they said. Anyway car was assessed and few days time my mum got a sms saying its approved and I need to take it to a panel shop (Clarks Auto Renovators Tongaat).
Car stood there for some time as I had to run up and down to check and a lot of issues as parts are not available and wrong parts being ordered.
So the day to get my car has arrived, fetch the car and drive home and I see my tyre pressure sensor is on, I think it less air, fill air and its still on, take it to a tyre shop and they say a sensor is missing and when I look at the rim, it is damaged, therefore someone opened my tyre as I know the panel shop took my car for alignment.
Informed both insurance and panel shop, they say it can never be them. Then who took it out? up till now i am still driving with no sensor and rim damaged. Also the insurance never pay the guy whose car I hit and I had to pay R1500 myself. I pay for 3rd party and I am really disappointed. Plus the panel shop was Not GM Approved
