I have been insured with ABSA for 11 years. Quite frankly I am sick of insurance firms and the way they try to work themselves out of a legitimate claim. This year we have experienced high levels of rainfall and particually in short intense bursts. My boundary wall has collapsed due to this. What do you think ABSA insurance will say? Of course: "You are not covered for landslides." I honestly do not know how your assessor came to this conclusion, as the wall has collapsed on a level area. I believe a refund is due as I was never covered by the insurance. Why is it always that when the claim is made there always has to be a "bullied" answer? I will refer this case to the ombudsman.
