I have a policy with Indwe. I erronously stopped their debit order on May, Shaun Hobdey called to enquire about this and I explained to him that it was error from my side. He told me to that I needed to pay both premiums end of June. I later send him an email and advised that I was in the process of changing my bank and if it was possible to pay cash and will give new nabking details to debit from July. He advised that if I can pay by the 27th and provide him with proof, they will not debit my account. To my suprise, my acount was still debited, and because I did not recieve my salary on that account, I was returned and I have been charged R138-00 in bank charges. When I asked him if there was a way to refund or pay these charges, he plainly told me that it is not possible. I cannot accept this as I know fopr a fact that it was not my fault but his fault. Surely he communicated wrong information to me and as a result I must pay in penalties. He has the nerve to tell me that he did a favour because my policcy was going to be cancelled. I pay, he gets commision and I don't take kindly to people who think they are doing me favours while they are doing their job. I need this refunded.
