My wife has a ford Figo, her car is insured in MY name with outsurance, on Saturday the 6/7/2013 we where almost hijacked I saw them coming and drove off into our driveway, however they carried on chasing us, I then drove through the neighbors gate (this is when they turned around and ran away) so in short if I had not done this the car would have been gone.
I phoned Outsurance this morning, and was told my excess would R6900 because I am not the regular driver.
You would think the fact that I saved the car they would only charge me the normal R3500 excess. Now I know why no one claims with outsurance Because the Excess is R6900!!!
As soon as this is over I plane to change back to Santam who is much better and understanding.
I do not suggest ANY one use Outsurance unless you Question every Tiny loop hole they have!!
I am completely unsatisfied with there lack of understanding and not willing to budge on there Systems..
