I was contacted and offered a loan with African bank and accepted. I was then asked to take some documentation down to my local branch. I arrived and handed over my 3 months bank statements and Id along with my proof of address. I was then asked for my payslip which I wan not aware I had to take with me. I then asked if I could send it to the consultant I was speaking to as all our payslips are online. I was told I couldn't however I could go around the corner to the internet caf? to print it and bring it back. I did so and returned. WE proceeded through the application and right at the end the consultant says that he cannot use my payslip. He told me I need to go get it stamped by my payroll department. I explained our payroll department is in Joburg and we are in cape town and all of our payslips are online. I also explained that I already am a customer and used the exact same version of my payslip to get my credit card WIth African bank. I was then sent out of the branch and told to come back with a stamp. Im not sure if I am supposed to fly to joburg for a stamp but I really need to have this sorted out. The consultant lack total customer service and offered me no solution.
