They took R16 000 from my savings account without permission, my savings account is not affiliated with any of my other accounts. I know i am in arrears but this does not give the bank the right to simply take money from any account without notifying me. This morning "lawyers" phoned me to say that they are investigating the matter. then tonight std bank phoned me to tell me that i must make another payment. I then politely asked the caller to please tell me what is going on regarding my account history because they are taking money left and right claiming that i gave my permission on the 7th of June, but this person could not supply me any evidence of this, because apparently, he can not give this information after 7pm, but i only received the call 7:05pm. He was very rude. I told him i do not appreciate his attitude but he just got more aggressive towards me and continued to threaten me. I would really like to know what on earth is going. If my money is not even safe in my own savings account, not even from the people supposed to be keeping it safe, then what am i supposed to do? I am seriously considering moving all my accounts to another bank.
