Refund Delay

My uncle had a policy which he started in February with Metropolitan (my uncle was the policy holder and me the payer), he unfortunately passed away a month later (March), so i couldn't claim since he had the policy for only 1 month. I informed my representative, she asked me to forward her all the necessary documentation to cancel the policy. She came with feedback that the policy was cancelled. The policy wasn't paid in March due to my uncle's sudden death, we had to put together each sent to pay cash for the funeral, barring in mind, im the policy payer.

In April the policy double debited, but it was cancelled early April. I understand that i had to pay for March, but why did they debit April's premium? I went back to my representative and informed her. She asked me for my bank statement as proof of the double debit. Its been 2 weeks now and i'm still waiting on my refund. which they said will be paid out in 48 Hours.

Today I contacted Metropolitan call center myself, spoke to a consultant and she said i should apply for a refund which according to me, was done when they asked for my bank statement.

How long should i still wait, a month or 2 or for ever?
