I have been dealing with Oojah Travels (underwritten by Hollards) for more than two months now after I had my items in a car whilst overseas. Oojah were unprofessional in their treatment of my claim and were about every legal term on etc which I had to further prove despite me providing them with police case numbers from Auckland and photos of the damage.
Now when I see they have a made a mistake in my settlement where they wont indemnify me for my loss of luggage as they misunderstood the information in my claim form and are now telling me I am being despite resounding proof that they are in the wrong they are shirking their responsibility to amend the settlement as they just want to be rid of my claim as they say it has taken too much of their time. This is rubbish considering the time I had to waste for them and still doing so. I just want to paid out fairly based on the true circumstances of the incident. I am a CA and subscribe to the code of ethics and do not intend or wish to mislead anyone, everything I have done is above board and yet I am being made to forcefully accept the offer despite knowing it is not entirely fair and wrong. I am disgusted!
