My farther past away in Jan 2013. We immediately visited the branch to report this and to get all outstanding balances on his credit card and overdraft account in order to settle the amounts. They refused to give any details or correspond with us until such time that the Executor was appointed. The death was reported to the Masters Office which is still in the process to be finalised. Since Jan interest and bank charges accrued on these accounts. They now want to summons him?? and still refuse to give me any info. He also had a policy which they do not want to honour. This is totally unacceptable as this could have been settled and finalised in Jan already?
