My hubby banks with Standard Bank and deals with the most phenomenal private banker in Milnerton. As I live and work in Constantia I assumed it would be a great idea to use the Constantia Branch as my base. I have had nothing but endless problems from this branch. I have 2 business accounts & 1 personal account all running from this one Branch and I am getting zero service as a business banker. I had an overseas payment which was delayed by a week almost causing me to lose the sale! I had to come in to the branch to do my second overseas payment as they lost the paperwork which allows me to send it via email. Hubby did an overseas payment today which took 3 hours - mine takes 3 days to 2 weeks?? Why such a difference in service. I finally dealt with a business banker who actually gets back to me & when trying to correspond with him afterwards he basically told me, unless I am a business in the 4Mill bracket, I am wasting my time dealing with him as he only deals with elite clients.? How narrow minded can you be, my two businesses have the potential to earn that in one month!! Keep your clients happy as growing businesses and you can reap the benefits with them later.
