Be very very very carefull prior to taking out a home loan from SA Home Loans, they are quick to sell you all the nice and attractive goodies, but when push comes to shuff the they are the first to adjust interest rates as they see fit, without any notification. when you call them to enquire about the increase in premium you might find yourself speaking to a certain Mandisa, quick to tell you they operate according to some bureau of standards etc etc, having such an attitude that one can understand why you cannot complain about service in South Africa, as one of the biggest braggers of how good they are calling themselves SA Homeloans have no understanding of what service is or mean. Dont be caught like I was, do your homework, and make sure they are infact the institution you want to do business with, you stand a chance of being caught with some fine print somewhere which they are reluctant to share as they know the public will then think twice of doing business with them. Mandisa told me in so much words that they can beasically do with my interest rate as they see fit, as they are not a financial institution like any of the banks in South Africa.
