My vehicle, a VW Jetta 5, 2006, 2.Olitre Comfortline was booked in for repairs at Philwest Volkswagen in Somerset West. After checking various possibilities why the vehicle's radiator and aircon fan ran constantly, a faulty ECU was diagnosed and the service advisor Christo lodged a claim with Motorite. The only problem was that the diagnostic equipment of the repairer did not specifically indicate that the ECU was faulty. As this was an ABSA Vehicle Warranty only administrated by Motorite, ABSA wanted written proof (diagnostic printout) that the ECU was indeed faulty. The dealer could not provide the proof because the Diagnostic Test did not recognised the faulty ECU.
This is when Motorite and ecspecially Mr Heimich Telemachus and Mr Jeremy Naidoo went out of their way to assist me convincing ABSA to approve the claim despite the fact that this was not a clear cut case. Worth mentioning is the fact that although the claim took almost ten days to reach final approval I was kept up to date of the progress of the claim by these two gentlemen either by a phone call of email every single day.
Motorite provided service far beyond my expectations.
