I know the designer who has done the past previous 5 books. Bilbord Marketing sells advertising space to businesses and companies then prints the books and gives it away for "free" at traffic lights and various public places. The designer is not only paid way under the market related value, but on the previous book they found numerous reasons not to pay her at all, yet they used the designs. The deal was then made to do book number six at a rate agreed, and now they've decided once again for reason (according to them) "Amelia and I feel that you are not giving us the standard of creativity that we require and that you are not sufficiently committed to our business" to cancel the commitment again and appoint another designer but laying claim to all the completed designs by Jo Davidson Creative. If the creativity is so bad... why would you want to keep the designs? I own a business as well and will never support these guys because of the way they treat the partners who work with them. And some people wonder why their business don't grow to be prosperous and successful... bad business ethics is bad business ethics no matter how you spell it.
