On 2 July 2013 an SMS saying "Your RICA sim has won R250000 on the OMO 2013 Promo. Call 0825938179. The number is called and congratulations all round. Details such as ID, name and postal address were requested (which is all pretty standard stuff). Later in the day another SMS is received saying telephone 0218392012 as a payment of R1950.00 is demanded by the Government before the funds are released. On checking, this number has been used for a while now for various similar.
Surely Vodacom would block and trace this number to the individual/s concerned!! Unilever, who handle OMO should also take this seriously as their product name is being used.
