Is Anyone Talking To Anyone Else At Cell C?

4 days after upgrading my cellphone contract, moving from Blackberry to iPhone, at Cell C (having been a customer of theirs for 10 years), I left to go on a short trip to the UK. "Call our call centre on the way to the airport, ask them to turn on Roaming" was the instruction before I left the store. "Have you used Roaming before? " asked the rep on the phone. "Yes, all the time" I said "in fact I never switched it off on my Blackberry". Roaming was activated. Day 4 of my 5 day trip: a message from Cell C saying phone usage is blocked, no remaining credit. Even though I travel regularly for work this had never before happened. I asked why, was told my Cell phone bill was now ZAR15, 000! I would be able to sort out the problem with Customer Services when I got back they said. I did not use my phone again from that moment until calling Cell C on my return.By then the the bill had increased a further ZAR16, 000 to ZAR31, 000. That was August 2012. To date they have not sorted it out. Despite reducing the bill to ZAR 3, 000 which I've paid I still have no cell phone service. The latest rep I'm dealing with (out of many!) has now gone on leave. I'm taking my business elsewhere!
