Vodacom
Breach of Contract

In December 2010 I applied for a 24 month cell phone contract through Vodacom and I did not accept the insurance on the device. I lost my Phone during the contract period and I waited for the 24 months period to go by, thinking that based on the contract (24 months) I signed with Vodacom, the debit order would be stopped when the contract ended, but nothing happened until I felt that I needed to inquire about this as it has been long now since I entered into the deal. Yesterday evening I called your contract department and spoke to a very cool and calm gentleman who called himself Thokozani Nkosi. Although he was very patient with me and not once did he raise his voice as I got impatient with me, he just could not answer a basic question and that was, "if according to him, my contract ended on the 14th of December 2012, then why was I billed beyond the contract period and why were the statements not sent anymore? The bottom line is that I want a full refund of my money from January 2013 please and I need it urgently because i signed a 24 Month contract and therefore should not be subject to any of Vodacom's internal processes, unless if i had breached my contractual obligations.
