Insurance and upgrade issue

I have upgraded a contract 076 956 0003 with MTN, I then requested to have my other contract sim 071 886 4795 put in the new phone as my old phone is cracked, I clearly stated that I would like to submit a claim on my Samsung S3 as my screen is cracked and I would like it to be repaired. The consultant advised me that he is unable to assist me as I should contact the insurance call centre on 083 1236084 and they will assist with my claim. I have tried everyday from the 23rd of September to date twice a day to get hold of the call centre and to my luck I was holding for 30 mins at a time and not getting through to anyone who can assist me. I then called the 808 number as MTN suspended my number I have upgraded due to rica reasons which I feel is again pathetic. The consultant advised to my horror that my Samsung s3 insurance is no longer activated and now only my S4 is insured which I don't understand because no where did I give instruction to cancel insurance on a contract the I still have to pay.
Please can someone contact me as I am furious and really sad that I have renewed a contract with MTN who me over by cancelling insurance policies and deactivating sim cards as t
