I am very disappointed in the service received from Vodacom Insurance. Last year August, I updated my cellphone details with them and this apparently did not appear on their side. Now I have a claim and while they admit the mistake was on their side they are requesting that I first make a catch payment (that they had erroneously not deducted off my Vodacom account) and then still pay excess and only then will I get a phone of the same category as the one I thought I was insuring. What is the point of getting insurance if one still has to pay such premiums when your phone gets lost.
I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in the service and told the consultant that I would be cancelling my contract. To my shock, she did not even try to reason with me. She simply said okay!
