In February of this year, my account at Cell C was closed due to none payment without my knowing. After making an verbal arrangement to pay the outstanding amount the consultant outright refused to give me any form of statement or documentation regarding the arrangement other than showing me notes that was made on the account on their PC. I returned recently only to be told that I owe Cell C additional for the handset and that I will receive a letter saying that I have paid for the handset after the paying for that aswell. Yet again, the consultant that assisted me refused to give me any form of statement of documentation regarding this of which I need for legal purposes. Further more, I looked up the National credit act and found that in section 63 that I do have "Right to information in official language". I never had a problem paying Cell C the outstanding amount on my account, but I am not happy about my account just being close and then there after still being charged for the handset that came with the package and being refused a statement showing what I owe Cell C. What is going on? Is Cell C just telling people what they think they is owed to them and why refuse a statement?
