At the beginning of the year for a couple of months, I was using Afrihost as my internet service provider for data and adsl line. Their service was horrible and the speed of the internet was so pathetic that I could not even log into my web-based email. I made multiple complaints to their support line who continuously kept blaming Telkom for the fault. However, they made no effort in trying to rectify the problem or getting Telkom to rectify the problem. I subsequently cancelled my service with them and made a complaint about them on Hellopeter.com. Somebody from Afrihost called me to try and convince me not to cancel my service with them but there was no way I was going to stick with them as an internet service provider. That individual then promised me that I would be refunded all the premiums I paid for those few months for being with Afrihost as a way of apologising. Halfway through the year and a good few months since that promise, I am yet to see any refund. This was too good to be true. I would like to warn all potential customers of Afrihost to stay clear of them due to their bad service and never keeping to their promise.
