What use of armed security if afraid of dogs?

A panic button went off at my house. ADT phoned and said they cannot go in to find out what the problem is because I have dogs. If they cannot face dogs how are they going to face armed robbers? What this means is my children can be in the house, pressing a panic button but no help will come because the people I pay to respond is afraid of dogs, .
So what is the use of ADT?
