I rented a room for my son at 134 river street in pretoria for the period of 11.5 months, I was requested to pay a deposit of R7100.00 key deposit of R400.00 half months rent of R1775 admin charges of R750.00 and R50.00 application fee Total R10025.00 on the 15th of January 2012. Every month from 1st Feb i paid rent of R3550 for 11 months. The lease terminated itself by stating that my son had to be out of the premises by 21st December 2012 which he was before that date. The Flat was inspected by one of Private properties people and keys returned before the 21st of December 2012. Now the law states that if deductions are going to taken form my deposit I should be informed within 7 days, I had to phone on several occassions and get no response, I wrote e-mails and only on my third mail did i recieve an answer after a phone call made by me. when money was paided into my account it did not bear the deposit plus interest. A deposit of R 6272.00 was paid to my account on the 8th of Febuary and when I queried the amount I was told that they would look into my file and send me a statement. Nothing has happened to this date. But I did a recon of this account with all the proof of payment
