Our Water and Electricity account due for this month was R3531.00, which was paid on 26 November. On the same day the water department came and closed our water supply outside. There's too little water to bath, I can't do the washing, we have to boil water on the stove in order to bath. On 27 November I was at the Rayton municipal office, and they told me it would be rectified within 48 hours, which should then have been yesterday. She also told me to ignore the letter stating that I owe R7858.99 because it was a mistake. Nothing had been done to rectify the situation. Why should we as residents pay for municipal mistakes? This is utterly ridiculous! I want the water supply normalized ASAP!
