We hired Gareth to renovate our home. He promised us his 'team' would be on site. He has no team, the workers are selected from the side of the road. The supervisor was useless. Gareth was on site once a week for the first 3 months for no more than half an hour for a R600K project. Project was supposed to take 4 months, at the end of 4 months nothing was finished. Constant change with who was working here, poor supervision, we had to constantly project manage. Materials were frequently not on site. Rubble never removed unless we arranged it. One delay after another, one excuse after another. Wrong kitchen doors delivered. Could not do the roof properly. Some ceilings have to be redone. Total lack of knowledge, lack of project management. Absolutely no consideration for the client. He used all the money, we had to pay in full to try to get the house finished. 10 Months later, still not finished, no gutters installed, part of the project not done, will not respond regarding the snag list. Everything very badly done. Got paid in full and refuses to finish our house. DO NOT use him for any work. We have to now have the inconvenience of talking legal action.
