Do people making false reports pay?

Gosh, Linda and Peter, i would like to know the following:

I ask this because people have such very different opinions and thoughts and i would like yours.

1. When a post is put on your site that when queried, turns out to be false and the writer deletes the post because it's inappropriate, does the writer get a bill or does the responding company still have to pay Hellopeter.com? If the innocent company still has to pay, do you think that's fair?
2. Will you provide the accused company with the details so they can contact the writer for free? Or is it a question of "if you don't pay your name stays tarnished and you will pay in lost income and reputation, whether you are innocent or not? "

After all, you are all about the consumer and not the fee, not so? Gosh, I would love to hear your opinion on this.
