Standard Bank
Complaint

I purchased a new vehicle (KIA SPORTAGE AWD A/T) from KIA Endenvale dealership in April of 2012. The vehicle was registered on my name with Standard Bank being the title holder due to the balance outstanding being financed through Standard Bank Vehicle & Asset Finance (Principal dept = R295906.50 which includes Standard Bank initiation fee of R1140.00). After a year of possession of the vehicle, my licence disc expired on the 31st of March 2013 without me realizing. I went to the traffic department with my credentials to renew the licence. To my astonishment the following revelations were made:1.The vehicle license number BW16DJGP which I have does not exist in the traffic department system any longer. All the vehicle identity numbers are currently registered to a LESEDI BAHLAKWANA FAMILY TRUST with a new license number FXW408MP (according to licensing department, the owner type status reflects owner & title owner). The Licensing department history indicates that I was the registered owner on the 25th of April 2012 with Standard Bank VAF being the title holder. One month later, on the 24th of May 2012, the vehicle was re-registered to a MAKWAHWA
