Avoid at all Cost

I have been banking with Absa for well over 20 years; I am hold their so called platinum account.
But over the years my services have been anything but platinum. The most recent frustrating experiences were when I applied for a bond where my application took more than three weeks to process and upon pressing them only to find that the "consultant" that was helping me had not been capturing my information on the system while at the same time she pretended to be doing so. I complained and told them I no longer want to do anything with that consultant. The bank did nothing with this situation; as a result I ended up loosing that flat from which I was applying for a loan.

The most frustrating was when now I was trying to close all my accounts with Absa and transfer all my money to my Capitec Account;this became such a problem; it took me over a month[ I am still fighting to have my money transferred. The fact that I am abroad has not made this easier, but I have always dealt with Absa from abroad; there is a mechanism in place, with Absa, for me to do that!

Anyone contemplating banking with Absa, think twice as I am not the only to have experienced this sorry experience!
