I would like to query my bond registration with Standard bank. I was told by the lady who was helping us with our application that we could use our own attorneys for the registration and the transfer of our property provided that they are registered on ST Bank panel. I provided her with the panel number (5794) but have now been contacted by different attorneys to start with the registration process. I am very confused and I am trying to query why am I not allowed to use my own attorneys when I was told I could. I have received a mail after already being contacted from registration attorneys from the girl who was helping me at SB to say that you cannot use the same registration and transfer attorneys which is a little too late! Why was I not told this before? I am receiving a service contrary to the one I was promised. I will now have to take out another loan because I have to pay two attorneys. I made two calls to the Home loans office ref: 40900517 & 40901838 all I'm being told is that I can't change my attorney, they cannot give me reasons why despite the fact that my attorney is on standard banks panel. How do I change my attorney? This wasn't what I was told initially :-(
