I had an absa credit card that expired on the 31st of May 2013. Absa declined to send me a new one. I went in to the office in Hatfield to try and find out what happened and I was told that there is a hold. Anyway we called the card division and I was told that I have not conducted my accounts very well hence my risk profile has changed hence they declined to renew that credit card. Anyway I asked them which accounts as I have been paying off and closing accounts which I do not deem necessary, but instead they have said that I must rather contact ITC and not ABSA. Is it not my right to be informed of the reason why credit has not been extended. Anyway its good riddance as I have been wanting to pay off that credit card for a while now and this just gives me the impetus to close all dealings with ABSA
