Last minute cancellation

After making a booking on a train for 17 Jan between Johannesburg and East London in November already, and taking the effort to confirm the booking 10 days before the trip, the train I booked was cancelled. The operators only took the effort to inform me of this a mere 5 days (3 working days) before I was scheduled to leave.
Completely unreliable!!
