On Friday 1 November 2013 I booked 4 tickets Via Travelstart on Mango Flight JE 144 from Cape Town to OR Tambo for 21 April 2013. 5 MONTHS IN ADVANCE As per usual, the full amount was deducted from my credit card. On Thursday 7 November 2013 I was forced to cancel the entire trip due to unforeseen personal matters. NOT DEATH or HOSPILIZATION!!! I was informed that "Mango is a low costs carrier, therefore if you wanting to cancel other than for death or hospitalization, the ticket is non refundable"" This conduct by Travelstart which acts as agent as well as that of MANGO is in total contravention of the Consumer Protection Act. My phone call to the Mango Call centre was met by the following "'You can change the tickets into someone else's name or make another reservation No"!!! I do not want do that I as I was suppose to attend a wedding. I need to be refunded!!! I strongly suggest that Travelstart consider in appointing more reputable, not so "'low cost carriers''
