WE DON'T KNOW, AND WE DON'T CARE

My bag was not transferred to my connecting flight (even thought I was ASSURED that it would be) and now by luggage is lost somewhere in Brazil. (My flight was Bogota to JHB via Sao Paulo). At my initial query the day I arrived, I was told my bag is in Brazil and would arrive EARLY the next morning, and would be at my door before lunch. At 17h00 and after NUMEROUS calls to the hopeless call centre, after being placed on hold for as long as 30 minutes at a time and being cut off three times, I FINALLY got through to an entirely unhelpful lady who just stated that my bag must still be in Brazil and we just have to wait and see if it comes here. Oh, and SAA does not refund SA residents for inconvenience due to lost baggage. NICE.
So, I am still waiting for my bag to miraculously walk onto a plane in Brazil and fly back to me as is seems the staff at SAA are either incapable or unwilling to do ANYTHING to assist me, I am, after all, only a frequent SOUTH AFRICAN flyer.
This is the VERY last time I, or anyone I know, will fly with SAA.
