CHAOS - 1 SEPTEMBER 2013

On Sunday 1 September 2013 my son had a flight booked with Kulula from Lanseria to Durban at 20h10. We received e-mails and sms at 16h35 to inform us that the flight has been delayed with an hour and departure will now take place at 20h55.My son is in the SA Navy stationed in Durban currently. On arrival at the airport we were again informed that this flight that was moved forward with an hour has now been further delayed and will only now leave at 21h30 therefore will only land in Durban at 22h40. He phoned the control room and informed. This flight was also cancelled.
He collected his bag BUT was placed on another Kulula (MN541) flight that was scheduled to take off at 21h30. I then phoned the control room and told them about the additional late arrival. This plane only left at 10h55 and therefore only arrived in Durban after 12 at which point the Navy driver could not wait any longer as he had prior other commitments to attend to.
My son had to then hire a taxi to take him to the Navy base in the harbour, Salisbury Island, and the cost was R800.00. Please send me the necessary paperwork to lodge a claim again Kulula to have this monies refunded. Proof of invoice available.
